DIAMONDS ARE A GIRLS' BEST FRIEND

finally the exams are oooooovvvvvveeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
well not totally .. there's still SPA and chinese..
but who cares bout those
maths was umm... better than chem..
bio could actually be easy if u studied every single detail

i have to tell the entire world that i was affected by the blackout last night
i was like studying bio then suddenly darkness
thot it was an eclipse or the end of the world or something
and it freaked me out for a moment there cos i've always prayed for the end of the world to come b4 exams
my family was kinda in chaos
my dog was running around
my grandma almost tripped over him
no one could find a torch
one of the lit candles fell over onto the rug
but after awhile everyone kinda got their bearing and used to the darkness
the ppl living downstairs set up a "campfire" or so they call it
it was more like newspapers burning adding to the haze caused by the indonesia forest fires
all the kids went down to play and stuff
and i also wanted to go down to haf some fun
but i was clean and all so didnt want to get sticky and sweaty
admist all the excitment i remembered that i had an exam to study for
i was actually hoping that electricity doesnt get restored till today so we might not haf exams
but my mum was like FAT HOPE
so i started reading a little with a torch
and now i am so grateful for electricity
and learnt how important lights air con fan was to me
1.5 hrs later electricity was restored
and i went on to study to the weee hours of the morning

i just haf to be thankful that the blackout happened during smallville and not like during oc

anyway bio today was super funny
i looked around the hall and realised that it was one of those rare occasions that everyone was stoning at the same time
imagine like 150++ students stoning all together for 3 whole hrs
a very funny sight believe me
there was no one writing furiously
everyone was rather calm
some with their arms crossed
some with their heads on the table
some rubbing their hands together(due to the aircon)
some were tapping their feet
some were clicking their pens
some were stretching
no sign of panic
and they had this sort of expression as if they expected such a thing
which was rather interesting
yep so that was wat i was doing during the paper -observing ppl and coming up with weird and hilarious answers that made me laff to myself couple of times


towned after that
met the artsy ppl for awhile whom i didnt see for like 1 mth!
left to eat
and i am like addicted to the strawberry thingys from mos
all of u out there who are still oblivious of this wonderful mouth watering desert go try!
walked around and realised there is not much to do at town
bought this wonderful tee though that read "drop dead gorgeous"

just went to an mka website and realised that like the press is like reallllllyyyyy irritating
like just because mk dyed her hair a really dark brown while ash's hair is still blonde they are making a big fuss outta it writing countless articles bout them growing apart and what not
give them a break for goodness sake
cant a person just want a change once in a while?


all this talk is driving me NUTTTTTSSSSSSSSSS !!!!

DIP IT LOW

feeling really depressed after the chem paper today
or maybe its just fatigue...
i was almost dying there doing the paper..
and during the last few minutes i kinda gave up
so had some blanks here and there
i mean i know that they use LYCRA to make clothes,swimwear,sportsbras but i sure have no idea how to draw the structural formula for pete's sake!!
i just hope i can get a pass...
most found the paper difficult but some from the trip sci class thot it was relatively easy.. maybe its just them

okies so now i am officially screwed for the cts..
i was counting on chem and maths
but there is no way i can count on chem now..
and i won't even bother thinking on counting on BIO..
i feel like just hecking bio..
i mean wats the use.. 1 day of ploughing thru those notes wont make much of a difference...

rites..now i am sounding whiney...

after the paper went with jolynn to coffee club to haf lunch
we basically talked stoned and complained
later she tried mathsing while i just continued stoning
today was seriously one of the days that i just want to do nothing
i think it might be due to my topsy turvy biological clock
during the hols haf been sleeping at 2++ waking up at 1
and today i had to suddenly wake up at the break of dawn or rather 7.10...but its still early
yeah that must be it..
decided to walk around in hope that it would perk us up
but nope.. even the mango sale couldnt do it
we were simply toooooo tired
that we were just walking around aimlessly
so decided to go home

napped until dinner.
tried studying bio.. but its like not entering.......
maybe FRIENDS can cheer me up later
gonna sleep early then start tomoro lahs..

CRAVES AND WANTS

really proud of myself..
started studying only after 8 and i kinda studied the entire chem syllabus..
imagine 5 topics in 5 hrs
okies.. now to think about it it was kinda slow..
oh i watched parts of simple life.. so that makes it 5 topics in 4 hrs
but i'm still happy with my progress
of course its already 1:15 and i am kinda saturated for the day
so taking a break from all that studying and hopefully after blogging i can absorb some more stuff bout chem bonding b4 goin to sleep so that i can use half of tomoro to study for chem and half for bio

studying with this strong craving for something is really difficult
i haf a craving for ICE BERRY TEA from coffee club..
and its eating me from the inside!
i really wanted to go down to siglap to get it.. but decided against the idea as it would be considered wasting precious studying time
and also cos i belief that a little sacrifice made goes a long way..
so i BETTER do well for chem or i'll hafta drown my sorrow and misery with cups of ice berry tea..

watched one tree hill today again
and i must say its becoming one of my fav. shows along side gilmore girls and the oc.. so decided to link it to my blog
spent some time reading the spoilers today too..
so i know what's gonna happen for the next 4 episodes! heees~
i think that peyton gal has a serious attitude prob! i mean the gorgeous chad.M.M is like totally hitting on her and she keeps giving him this attitude.. not like nathan her current bf is treating her that great either..

i get really restless during exam period i think
1)i wanna go out and SHOOOPPP!! like i haven't shopped enuff..arggghh i am getting hooked to shopping!
2)i wanna go out and EAAATTT!!! really need to stock up on food.. just finished like half a cake and longans... oh man have been eating and eating since i've started studying..
3)i wanna go out and catch a MOVVVIIEEE !! throw anything at me ! i dun mind watching !! from jap to korean to chinese to french (omg even a 2nd screening of love me if u dare which is totally uncomprehendable would do fine)
4)i wanna rent a TOOONNNN of VCDs and just slouch in bed and just watch tv all day all night!

ITS LIKE SUPER DUPER

first thing.. ENGLAND IS OUT OF EURO..:(

was planning to do some studying today
cos that would be the only way i would finish studying by next week
of course life doesnt always go according to plan
and i get a call from my mom to go shopping with her
apparently there's a MNG sale goin on
and who can resist a MNG sale rite!?

actually i bought more things from topshop then at MNG
and guess who i saw there !!??

we were like squeling in the middle of topshop
was soooo super duper happy to see her after like a month!

today's shopping spree was very successful
got a skirt, a rolling stones tee, a pair of shorts, a handbag, a plain tee, and a present for my aunt..
all that's left to get is a decent pair of slippers.. which i haf been searching for since march..which i am getting a little impatient finding for a perfect pair.. so i might just get one on impulse one of these days...and i wanted this tube with little holes on it.. but then decided to KIV first..

last night was the greatest adventure in quiet awhile
my mother bought condoms and wanted to blow them and tie them to my aunt's bed in the middle of the night
haha she bought 3 different boxes
one that was ribbed- for greater stimulation
a chocolate and strawberry one - for greater taste
and that was exactly what was written on the boxes

so at 3 am we were blowing the condoms in the room and i was crawling quietly in the my aunts room and tied them to her bed with a happy bdae msg attached to the 'balloons'.. we also threw all the empty packages all over her bed.. was trying real hard not to laff

this morning was pay back time and she tied one of it to my hand and my duck toy... put one in my bag and another in my book cupboard which btw fell out while i was taking out some books for tuition .. i just hope my tuition teacher thot it was a balloon..

sorry to those that might think this is a yucky topic to be blogging bout..but i just had to blog bout this..

woke up real late today 1.45..
had lunch

like its made up of like almost a dozen too
some of us really different ppl
ppl with different characters, talents, eccentricities..
and within the clique we haf like ppl who are closer to each other than others
and we may be busy and not see so much of each other unlike before
but we still care for each other all the same

we come together to bring out the best in each other adding so much sugar and spice to our outings and our lives..

and she is sad that she cant join us
so now not sure if we will still go

after lunch we developed some fotos
popular for test stationary
all of us bought one or 2 pens to stock up for our test!
cept for jac who bought so many things cos she left her whole pencil case on the plane
haha.. find that quite amusing actually

walked to the library
saw sab there updated me alil with happenings at kc drama and all
started studying
didnt really do much
really cant study outside for some reason

laffed over ppl's visible panty
and it wasnt just like a line or something
the whole entire butt was like IN UR FACE
and JAM
those days when we had to come up with missions just to make our lives interesting and occupy our time

after awhile felt really sleepy
so walked with nam ferly louie to parkway
where they collected the fotos and bought food back for the rest at the library
lost louie and sanam for a while
they went to the far away toilet without even telling us

had a fantabulous time!
whees cant wait for friday ! (if we are still goin)

THE MAN WITH THE TUESDAY PLAN

came up with such an elaborate plan
to make sure every minute or second of my day was accounted for
so there would be no wastage of time

total disaster
turn out the only things that i actually did on the plan was to watch FOOTLOOSE, bathe, eat, and complete half of the bio topic..

ITS EXACTLY 1 MONTH TO MY BIRTHDAY!!

woke up at 11:45 when i was supposed to meet jolynn at 11 @ orchard
but she knows me too well so she called me when she woke up
and when she realised that i was not awake yet she went back to sleep!
thank goodness for that!
11.45: called her while running around the house frantically getting my towel and clothes
she picked up and i was ready to say like a million sorries
but she sounded as if she just woke up too
so i thot she overslept too..
was laffing over the whole incident
in the end decided to just go to town for lunch and shop

and i am so happy with a ring i bought that is shaped like a crown!
met steph and jess while shopping at zara or rather trying something in the zara dressing room ..

i peered out and steph appeared

when i was toking to them jolynn pointed to the top that i had on

i think she believed me there for a moment.. until steph and i started laffing... gees....

DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE

went shopping with mummy
spent most of our time at mango
spent like 1 hr there
first i tried something
when i come out my mum enters the dressing room with some clothes in hand
while waiting for her to come out
i see something nice and go in to try
she comes out. waits. something catches her eye. and she tries
so it went on and on like a vicious cycle
till there was nothing left to try on..

dad then fetched us to lagoon to eat..
realised that it is not that popular as it was when it first opened..
guess ppl are getting bored of the food.
but the food was still good nonetheless

was lining up behind this hc guy and girl
the guy kept on boasting to the girl how great he is in tennis and how his serve is so oh- amazing and then they went on to talk bout kayaking and again he started yapping about how he is the navigator and blah blah and that the navigator has to be the strongest person.. with the best sense of direction.. and he was acting so shocked that the girl didnt noe how to use a compass and all.. bleaaagh... fine i was eavesdropping but the queue was super long.. the girl didnt seem that impressed after all... hahas

CHICKEN RICE AND LOTS OF FAN

N2 outing today
was a little late but not the latest
germ was
when we called her she was at newton which was one stop away from us
but waited and waited she nv came
so we decided to ambush her
but she still nv arrived
called her and she said that she got squeezed out of the mrt!

decided to walk to fareast first and wanted to bluff germ that we were gonna eat chicken rice (something we always tease her about since the camp)
went to magic wok and was choosing from a range of thai-chinese dishes which included (lalas) which some of us found amusing
germ then walked past so we sent sandra out to get her
she really thot we went to eat chicken rice and went to 5th level but couldnt find us
the ppl working at magic wok haf a serious attitude problem man
i mean they drop food on ppl they dun even say sorry they look at u like u were the one in the wrong
we came to a conclusion that they were pmsing although most of them were males
me and james ate lemon (li mong)and honey chicken respectively with rice and he kept making a joke with the word " fan" as in rice in chinese and "fun"
"i am having alot of fan" was wat he kept on saying
took some spastic fotos
and for some reason today was like a speak chinese day or something
gerarad kept on using cheem chinese proverbs that were impossible to comprehend
and the rest just kept making fun of my chinese
pix arrived and we soon left
we only finished around 9 .. imagine it took us 2 hrs to finally complete dinner!

crapped alot while walking to swensen's
the queue at swensen's was damn long
but we waited patiently
while waiting we took pictures and made hell lot of noise
got tired of waiting so asked the waiter how long more do we haf to wait for a table of 13
20 mins or so!
that would be waiting for almost an hr for a table so went to marche instead..
pix let us order anything we wanted
so we each ordered either a drink or an ice cream except for see chai who ordered this mouth watering crepe and ice cream and berries which he felt so guilty eating cos it would cost pix $10.70
all of us were making fun of him and he wanted to resort to sitting outside the toilets and collect money from everyone who goes to the toilet to pay for his desert

to somemore fotos with my lousy cam then listened to more of gerarard's rubbish and pix made humourous actions
left orchard 11+ with fellow mrt-ers...

fun day but i am so pissed i missed the o.c...

THE AMAZING FIRE STARTERS

was kinda busy the entire day
running here and there getting stuff for the bbq
and planning the last minute souvenior thing for the yr 2s
met some of them at parkway coldstorage
bought last minute stuff like charcoal fire starters aluminium foil butter ...
met everyone else at the taxi stand and we took a bus to sara's house

today's bbq has gone way up my list of previous bbqs planned and attended
it is the most high class, least budget, most high tech, most convenient, most abundant in food and gifts...

imagine bbq by the pool
walkie talkies used for efficient communication btw the ppl in sara's house and the ppl at the bbq
those cube thingys that sara bought from hk that light up which was put around the bbq area.. making the place look so pretty!
and there was a tap near by!
i mean finding a tap while bbq along ecp is one of the most irritating things i find about bbqing there
firstly is making ur way there
then getting into the horrible urine-smelling toilets
which is 24-7 wet with i dunno what and i intend to find out...
everything was great but the music could be improved...

me and ferly tried starting the fire, alittle uncertain how to go about it at first
armed with watever skill acquired during past fourseven bbqs from the pro fire starters like tian louie py and all
we nv really started started a fire on our own
so we kinda challenged ourselves with dhanesh who was also working on his own fire a pit away from us
after many failed fires and probably 20 fire starters and fire dust and fanning and adding and removing charcoal
me and ferly got our fire up and burning !!!!!
so this is the achievement of the century for both of us unless i get an A for biology in this lifetime or at least this common test which would be a miracle since the words translation, transcription ,purines and pyrimidines still mean nothing to me except to put a big fat question mark in my alreadi muddled up head.. and those were just the few words which i remembered not understanding while doing some reading up on my notes last night..
arggh its less then 2 weeks to my exam and i haf yet to start studying.. last night wasnt counted cos that was just a preview of what i am gonna be up against in the week to come.. i'm soooo screwed..
i plan to stay home the WHOLE of next week to study..* keeping my fingers crossed*

i did most of the cooking today with ferly's help!
feed back was that most of the stuff were edible and cooked
so glad so glad!
this means that if i flunk my As i still got great work oppurtunities our there like being a BBQ fire starter or a cook!

sara's mom went bonkers when she came down with bags and bags of tidbits
like party packs of super rings, mnms (peanut and normal), jelly, mamee.....

mr augustine chan also arrived with loads of sushi-which everyone went gaga over, pretzel, and a cake

he gave a serious and o-so-boring talk about exco-ing .. i mean with the reason being played in the background u think i am paying attention.. no chance.. and i am so praying that he does not read this...

ms ting didn't give an appearance today cos of rashes on her face.

the cooks from the other pit namely dhanesh and brian were in a really amusing argument about mat(is this how u spell it) satays and texas buffalo wings after brian was trying to compete with dhanesh who makes better satays.. pity we didnt get to see the mat himself aaron (who apparently owns a satay stall in laopasat which he closed to make it to this bbq) making satays

most of the girls and j2s left early cos they were living kinda far away
the rest of us stayed and cleaned up
and esther and joy came after their kayaking expedition.. sounded really fun
and had a great time eating the remaining food with much appreciation since they didnt haf such good food during their expedition..
left for parkway wanted to meet the other j2s for pool since it was kinda early but ended up on the same bus as them
(they unknowingly took a long walk to another bus stop)
but they decided not to play pool in the end .. all wanted to go home
at the bus stop though kesu made a loud comment about bedok being a mat area and at that very moment all the mats around turned to look at him... we all then started sniggering..
came home and actually realised how tired i was..and went straight to bed..

IT'S JUST ME

i'm a phreaking ESCAPIST... that's py's word but i shall just borrow it for this post.
argghh...
i hate myself for just running away from problems instead of just facing it and giving ppl answers and putting their minds and MY mind at ease...
i think that is the biggest favour i could do for myself and others
i MUST stop keeping stuff within myself...
and say whatever i feel

nobody's perfect and i guess that's my greatest flaw...

GREAT PLANS

met jolynn at sch today
but i was freaking late!
haha so sorry jolynn
didnt sleep well the night b4
and my maid has been doin this to me recently
for all fo u who dunt know it takes alot for me to wake up
so she gets really irritated waking me up
and she just calls me once and doesnt bother if i wake up or not

went to the library to fotocopy past yr's common test papers
yeah.. really kiasu of me.. but kss beat us to it anyways
but my tuition teacher wanted me to.. so yeah no choice
did every thing stupid today
like i accidently pressd 6 copies and so was fotocopying 6 copies of certain pages!
then i started jumping up and down in the room
then ppl in the library turned to look
i guess the room wasnt sound proof....

then we kept disturbing the librarian that i actually felt bad
first was to get the papers
then to top up our cards
and then to return the stuff
doubt i will even do the papers
and something wierd is that all the 2002 exam papers are missing
as if there weren't any exams at all that yr

went to town
ate chicken rice
planned to study shop and watch a show
GREAT EXPECTATIONS huh
wanted to watch eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
we both heard that it was really good
but somehow her fone didnt haf listings for that show
so decided to shop first until we reach cine then we'll decide
we really window shopped..
went to 3 different esprits,2 guess outlets,zara,mango,topshop,flash and splash, rip curl(where we saw really nice pencil cases).. whereever u name it we went today!

there's this really cute tee that says :

wanted to get it sooooo badly
but i somehow didnt like the cut very much

there were no nice shows showing so gave it a miss
and went to lips to study instead
ate and toked and drank most of the time actually
i tried teaching jotong how to do partial fractions
just realised how distracted she can be !

WHEN THE GOIN' GETS TUFF

went to town to meet my mum
rebonded my hair!
finally my hair is under control!
cut fringe too...
feels kinda wierd..
but i guess its always like that with something new
after that went zara to shop!
bought 2 tops from zara kids
it has like really cute phrases on it

was waiting for a cab behind liat towers
and it was getting hot and and started to get impatient
cos the taxi stand was kinda secluded .. in a lane
so the taxis just kept passing the lane and none turned in
then finally a cab came
but this guy on a wheel chair wanted it first so we let him
and after like another 15 more mins
another cab came
GLEEEE!!
but..............
this oldish woman just came and got into it without a care in the world
me and my mom looked at each other in awe
and we started laffin and laffing like hyenas
that the ppl behind us were staring
FIANLLY got a cab
and guess what it was a merc!
the driver played nice songs too...

ALL ABOUT THE CAMP

::DAY 1::

assembled at the quadrangle
had assembly
took attendence
was grouped into respective classrooms where we were gonna sleep
thank gawd the n2 girls were grouped together but we had 3 other sc girls with us
collected our mattresses which we were warned not to sleep on cos of bed bugs and the use of sheildtox on them to kill the bugs
gathered in the hall where we re-introduced ourselves to the rest of the group and esp the newbies james who took over maria's place, max who wasn't there on the breifing and pixian aka pix who is our teacher facilitator
PIX: student council president in 2000-01 (i think)
claims to have survived army (although erm... as they say do not
judge a book by its cover)
really virtuous
dramatic (oohh those exercise freaks!) haha still cant get over
that!
then an external company EPAC came to facilitate
the first thing we did was to come up with a group cheer
we came up with 3
but the one that was customised was the one cheered in the sponge bob tune

who goes for a camp in the middle of june? [N2x2]
covalently bonded and united as one [N2x2]
able to come through all that we face [N2x2]
in the end we'll win the race!

and i loved the chefrere cheer where they went

oh its just Chefrere ooh chefrere aah, chefrere ooh lala
chefrere ooh chefrere ahh, chefrere ooh lalalalala
+ the actions!

next activity was altogether now where we had to put our feet together and hold each others arms and kinda help each other get up
started with pairs and then extended to 4s 6s 8s and finally the whole group
but we cmi when it came to the whole group
we nv gave up though
tried countless times

LUNCH : umm couldnt exactly remember what we had but i could remember that i was the slowest eater.. everyone was like waiting for me.. i cant believe i eat so slow.. i just think the rest were eating really fast.. i mean when i go out with other ppl i finish about the same time as others..

RIVER CROSSING: bring 11 ppl across the "crocodile infested river" using 3 chairs.
ok we started totally wrong
we thot by bringing less ppl across at one time would be faster and safer
but realised it was not effective enuff and quickly changed..
but it was kinda too late so we were the last team to finish
we kept on cheering and cheering
and at least none of us fell
we even found our fastest "boatman" kia jun!
finally when we were the last ones left
the entire sch started cheering for us really loudly
the feeling was great like whoaaa the entire sch cheering together for our team!

TEA : had banana cake quite yummy.. discussed how we were gonna survive on the next day's ration

PLANNING CAMPAIGN:we were supposed to come up with a proposal on how to increase the number of babies born in singapore to deal with the aging population. had to come up with a chart that started with the boss to the gm .. finance head.. advertising...admin.. pr.. hr.. blah blah.. i was the secretary! hahas
we called ourselves the N2 BABY FACTORY and our slogan was JUST DO IT!( u noe wat we mean)
had to come up with a budget.. time line.. advertisement.. policies
personally i thot that our proposal was really slip shot.. cos we werent exactly sure how much an advert would cost..how much renting a place would cost...but somehow the judges kinda liked it!we even came up with a suggestion where there would be a nation wide black out so that more ppl would engage in XXX and thus reproduce!

TREASURE HUNT: this was really amusing
i mean we took much longer to tie ourselves together
than to find the stuff we were supposed to find
we basically had most of the things with us like a nike
shoe with white laces.. safety pin..handkerchief..3
leafs of unequal length...
mr tan was VERY suspicious of how we got the leaves
but we stuck to the claim that we didnt pluck them
instead picked up those that fell hahas SUCKER!!

DINNER: slowest eater yet again.. what's new.. i stuffed myself so fast that i had a slight stomach ache and the entire time i was wondering to myself .. what's wrong with these ppl dunt they know how to enjoy a nice meal..some were also preoccupied thinking of ways to wrap the egg for the next activity..

EASTER EGG: well basically i sat out during this activity..i had totally no idea what to do so left it to the rest who had a better idea on how to protect the egg.. all i know was that we just wrapped wrapped wrapped with lots and lots of newspaper.. filled the paper with strips of paper and straws to act as a shock absorber.. we were one of the last teams to hand in our parcel of egg to be thrown but our egg survived! yippie!!during this activity garraearrrrddd the guy with the ever-so-confusing name was trying to give us hints but pity we werent on the same wave length..he kept on saying things like " air pork" wings and stuff..

MOVIE: watched clips from the show drum line..can tell the show was quite cool lah.. bout a group of drummers.. trying to be the best..the purpose of showing it to us was to tell us 'you gotta learn how to follow before we can lead' and like the importance for team work .. blahs..

PALM COMMITMENT: drew our palms on a piece of majong paper
on our fingers we wrote down things we learnt
one of the more boring activities

we were coming to the end of the day and so the epac ppl had to leave
b4 they left we sang i believe as in the one that goes i belive i can fly i believe i can touch the sky.. everyone linked arms and swayed and sang!really nice..

then had a whole load of forms to fill surveys.. reflections..

we were sent to bathe
and being realist as we are
we knew that the girls shower toilets would be filled with other girls alreadi
so we went to the guys toilets (the normal ones)
and showered there using the pail and bucket that the cleaners used to clean the toilets..
at first i was arggghhhh yuckKKKKKK!!! but i mean i didnt haf a choice so tried not to think of it and bathed..
water parade. then slept.

had difficulty sleeping
my sleeping bag was so thin that i could feel the hardness of the floor and could feel my rib poking at the floor...
was tossing and turning and woke up many times in the night
went walking around my level for awhile on my own.. was kinda eerie.. i mean just the silence and stillness of the night.. but was exciting at the same time.. slept alot better after the walk..it became cold in the middle of the night cover my self with everything i could find!

::DAY 2::

woke up with much ease surprisingly
had breakfast
then gathered at the foyer to do some stretches - the teachers were just trying to buy time while waiting for the buses to arrive
came up with lame shit with james while waiting for the buses
we were talking bout our history
it all started with pix asking james where he came from
i answered vietnam
so then i came up with my own history where i lived with midgets but because i was becoming bigger and bigger i had to move out of their tiny house that could not contain me anymore..i then met up with tooth fairys but the rent they requested was to much so i could not stay with them.. u get the pic..
james history was that he lived wolves and came across gnomes.. haha freaking funny

we finally arrived at the rock climbing place
we breifed about what we were bout to do
and N2 was the first to start the rock climbing
i learnt really slowly how to control the ropes thingy
was really nervous
hahaha and was very unpro at it that the person i was controlling became nervous too..
well it wasnt as bad and she survived! :)
hahaha
it was my turn and sad to say i only made it half way to the top
when u see a pic or watch ppl climbing on tv it looks really easy but when u actually do it.. my gawwdd.. i felt like dying up there
my fingers and hands and arms were freaking numb and i just felt as if i had no strength left..but ppl kept cheering me on so i tried and tried .. i moved only a little further up and finally gave up..
jue and marianne were one of the few girls that actually made it quite high up!

then we did the climbing thing that was lower but still really challenging.. required alot of arm strength..it was kinda boring for me though.. so i just rested on the mattress..

we finally got to absailing
most of us did the inverted one
was alittle nervous before i went up
and the feeling being 2 stories high with ur head facing the floor is both exhilarating and freaky
when i was up there i kept on twirling up there with the ropes..
but finally made my way down...thank gawdd..
and 3 cheers to all those who although were afraid of heights still tried it out !

was eating our rations on the way to macritchie reservoir
plain bread uncooked baked beans uncooked tuna flakes in oil and biscuits..
quite sad hur... but it was alright.. i didnt die of hunger or anything
but the frustrating thing was that we kept passing by mouth-watering food like macs kfc pizza hut.. omg was so tempting

when we arrived at mac reservoir most of us visited the toilet to do our business!! so funny all of us having the urge at the same time... hope it doesnt end up at the reservoir though...

we then had to do couple or rather 60 push ups and 30 jumping jacks as punishment for those who did not bring bandages and plasters

our first task was to complete a puzzle.. i was stumped but some smarty solved it .. our 2nd task was a puzzle and yet again i was stumped... 3 task was to fill in the blanks on some info to be found along a trail.. that was not too difficult just strainous.. like the walking all.. but we more or less kept it as a team.. some ran first so that not much time would be wasted then some others took over... next we were going deeper into the forest or jungle or watever..
everyone was kinda grateful for our group's ultra big and bright name tag that i made although the peeps from other groups kept making fun of it.. they became jealous of it when they realised that it could double up as a quite powerful fan! hahs!
basically saw lots and lots of trees, twigs bushes,leaves,soil,mud..
at some points we had to complete some tasks like getting our entire group over a wall and i'm proud to say that we did it in 1.5 mins flat!
we also had to balance on those large white cylinder things...argghh cant think what the is the proper name for those things!! there were times when the group had to split like 5 ppl go through a drain and the rest wait for them or 5 ppl run a longer route and meet up at a point..we ran out of water along the way but thank gawd for mr poh who gave us 2 cups of ice and a mineral water..along the way we saw a whole lot of monkeys.. and there was this one who had his butt up in this other monkey's face and the monkey was searching for ticks! it was a hilarious sight! there was this tiny animal that looked like a monekey so with great excitement i shout "baby monkey!!" but the entire group said it was a squirrel..well i will just blame it on the intense heat and dehydration..

we had to climb a tower and count the number of steps to the top
me and james counted 108 but the rest counted 114
i guess that was the only disagreement we had throughout the entire camp.. it was not a disagreement actually..and so we just decided to put down 2 answers.. till this date we dunt noe the correct number!

and there came a point where there were loads and loads and loads and i mean looooaaadddds of steps to climb.. i bet i climbed more than 2000 steps that day that i am suffering from step-o-phobia - a fear of steps.. first was to go find the drum tree.. which was wayyyy not worth the effort because it looked like any other tree in the forest! then to reach some huts.. and they had weird names like tuip tuip hut..
then final bit was really tiring.. though we tried to keep our spirits up.. the 2 medicine balls and the brick was seriously a burden and we had to make our way to the summit of bukit timah hill ( i think..but by that time after all the walking in and out up and down i wasnt too sure anymore) but the catch was that we had to carry one member of our team and he cant touch the floor until we reach this big stone .. or else we start from the bottom again.

finally reached the stone
mr issac lim was there
we took a foto
we thot it was the end
but nooooooo...
we still had to make our way down to the vistor's centre or something
and believe me when i say it was a long long way down
reached the water coolers and all of us just drank and stoned
went back to sch and bathed
had a buffet dinner
then had a debriefing
all our facils were happy with us
we got along really well with one another
we encouraged and motivated one another
and we helped each other
which was wonderful!

we did a questionaire where they would tell us our role in a team
and it was then that we realised why we were such a great team
cos our team had the ideal number of positions
as in there was not too many ppl trying to do the same thing
i was R - resource investigator ..sandra too!

but we talked until 1 before sleeping
planned with sandra and germ to walk around in the night
woke up at 2 and so i woke sandra up too
but she said it was too early so we went back to sleep
around 3 she woke me up
we went over to germ to wake her up
she sat up and went back to sleep again so we supposed she didnt wan to come along
which we got scolding for the next morning
that we didnt wake her up properly
that is one blur girl
so me and sandra went around our level for awhile

::DAY 3::

breakfast
briefing by bro paul
where the group of us fell asleep
and bro paul called us
so jerked up
then we had group work about problems faced by htcs
our facils came up with a short skit and it was quite funny
then had to do an online survey about the camp
became max's maid because of some bet i made where i lost
i mean he doesnt seem choirish - again dunt judge a book by its cover
whoa i think the thing i learnt throughout this entire camp was that man
my name changed from maria to marianna ... and finally chantel

next was a short mass service
we also had individual candles which we lit and put in the centre of the audi around a bigger candle
it was quite beautiful
sang this lion king song everyone forming a huge circle
did the cj wave
sang cj sch song
ooh and mr tan js was also enthusiastically doing the wave!
went to collect our candles but split some wax on myself and on my skirt
made a horrible pattern in a shape of a lizard!
hope the wax comes off!! but had a hard time scratching it off...

bro paul presented to us our certs
but b4 that each group had to do a cheer
so we did our sponge bob one and ended with 9 claps N2 !
when we up to collect our certs
bro paul mumbled something to me
about being lazy
hahaha .. hope i heard wrongly
or he really did recognise me from the lt when i was sleeping...
oh wells
brought our mattresses back to a class room then we went for N2 outing!!

we went to ps cartel to finally haf a decent meal
finished my pasta the fastest !
toked crap basically
daniel had this weird impression that girls shit smelt like bubblegum
and learnt more about urinals with jue the slack woman who's fav lines during the camp were 'slowly slowly relax realax'
and james's "i'm frens with all insects".. go figure...
kia jun was damn cute when he was talking ..
i talk to him in eng
he mumbles something back in chinese
and becos of spluring so much on my meal i apparently haf to work for max for another 15 yrs so that makes me 32 when i stop working for him..
can life get any harder

so went to world of sports to get pix a present
can u believe it 13 ppl in world of sports to choose a tee
then we decided he didnt suit any of the tees in there
so we came out
then they went to some figuirine shop
i was getting tired and frustrated with my stupid rashes
it was becoming horribly inflammed
anyway they decided to get the tee in the end
the rest left
but i had to stay cos my dad was gonna fetch me from there later
so max stayed with me cos he didnt wanna go home either
we fast food hopped without any cash
i was damn nervous doing it
i mean like i nv did such a thing b4
first went to yoshi where we played 2 games of bingo
then this feirce old woman who worked there asked if we did order anything
so max said we did but we didnt quite fool her
so after she left us we left
went into kfc but they didnt haf a secluded seat so we sat down to complete our 3rd game and left again
wanted to go to macs
and so i asked where's macs and he pointed to himself
i was like huh
macs= max
hahahah... yeahh...
but macs only had the outdoors one and everyone out there was smoking and max couldnt take cig smoke so we left
went walking around in john little
then i was outside carrefour when i met lin xiang from first 3 mths!
haha he was huffing and puffing..
apparently he was having an asthma attack
i mean why bother calling me and all when u are having an asthma attack!!??
couldnt talk to him for long cos my dad was waiting for me
and that brings me to the end of my 3 day adventure!

PHOTO MADNESS!

met chris again today to shop for ms zulaiha's present
bought her a really nice foto album
and i finally bought a MEMORY STICK the word that i juz cant seem to remember
ate lunch b4 heading down to blk 266 tampines st 21

when we alighted the bus we saw a malay wedding so assumed that that should be the one..
we went nearer but couldnt see any of our frens or teachers
then we were wondering if it was the right wedding
so we went to the front and saw the bride
DEFINITELY NOT! she was much bigger than ms zuh!

so we walked down and heard some music
so we said that must be the one we're supposed to go to
when we got nearer we realised that they were playing indian music
so chrissy say couldnt be the one
but i said that she could haf married an indian!
saw the names at stage thingy and there was nothing close to "Zulaiha"
so again we had to walk back

then with my tortoise eyesight
i saw a sign saying that blk 266 was across the road!
so we crossed the road
and AT LAST we were at the right wedding
thank gawd we didnt sit down at the wrong weddings like syl and chinky
it would have been so embarressing!
anyway ms zulaiha looked kinda good.. made up and all
we kept on wanting to take fotos with her (especially when i juz bought my memory stick)
so :D to see the rest of the 4-seveners there.. especially the ones i didnt see since god knows when!
so kinda snapped and snapped and snapped
took the lamest shots ever
and after sitting there for ms zulaiha to get changed which took like FOREVER.. i started taking before and after shots of my de-prune kueh lapis... playing chong chi mi ma where the loser had to eat a disgusting desert cake.. playing the "who and how u will get married " game with chris

this was her result:
syed will propose to her in 1 yr with a pink daisy and they will go to blagedesh for their honeymoon on a tortoise

hahs yeah something like that cant quite remember exactly though...

we then bet what colour ms zuh would change into
me & lthena : blue or orange
louie & sarah : blue or pink(not sure if the 2nd colour was pink..)
chris & kat(ithink..) : green or purple

so when she came out
we all shouted
cos she came out in BLUE!
which meant chris was the LOSER !
hahas

so after it all we went to cartel to haf a drink
there again we all started taking fotos
but by then most of our cams were flashing the low batt sign
so most of the photographs were rushed
like hurry take then after taking, hurry off kind!
the rest stayed behind cos i had to go home to redo the camp name tag shit.. the last one i did was a disaster.. and also to watch gg!
enjoyed every moment of it man!
i changed the colour combi from black & pink to yellow& orange
and then had to get my daddy to laminate it
went to this marine terrace to laminate but then after paying they said
come tomoro night
then i was like " tomoro night?!!!? i need it like straight away!!!!"
but apparently they need to heat up the machine and will take some time
so got a little worried cos if i didnt get this done by tomoro i'll be dead and fail miserably as a leader
made my way to parkway while my dad kept on bugging me that i keep on doin last minute work.. making everybody rush along with me.. yadder yadder...i was already so worried if evergreen at parkway was as inefficient as this marine terrace shop !
anyway got everything done and went to do some supermarket shopping
bought enuff groceries to last me thru the camp
and i met marianne!!

okies gotta go pack for camp!

SHOP 'TIL WE DROP!

woke up at 6 this morning
realised it was raining soooo heavily
the sky was a shade of pink !
there was lightning and thunder !
so glad i was indoors!

went back to sleep and woke up at 12
then planned with chris to go shopping!
on the way to town met teresa on the train!
like i stepped in then i saw her then both of us started laffin!
freaking funni!
and b4 i left she said she hopes we nv meet like that again!

FINALLY developed my one roll of film that i took so long to complete
dunno how many events in that1 roll sia
there were some really nice fotos though..

and now i receive a msg from dear chrissie. it reads:
hello.guess wat..py coming later(tomoro) so like 2 of us haf to go hunt for a gift.shit man.. stuck with you.. haha!

and she said that this week she saw me for 4 days already and that next week she dun wanna see me anymore! hahaha.. these ppl arh.. dunn noe how lucky they are to be able to see me!

stupid chrissie showed me a white skirt at flash and splash today!
was PHREAKING nice!!!!
couldnt stop thinking of it man.. muz get my mum to go shopping with me soon!

bought 2 tops and developed photos... now i am broke..:(
tomoro i still gotta buy a wedding gift for ms zulaiha!
thank gawd its the end of the week alreadi
and guess what louie informed me that gilmore girls is coming back tomoro !!! cant wait !!!!!!

HAPPY 3 MONTHS!

whees! my blog is 3 months old !
so happy 3 mths to my blog!
thanks for occupying 30% of my time
distracting me from homework.. revision..tv..etc.
but its amazingly fun to blog!

had chinese extra lessons today
and was really planning to go..
but for the fact that a slept late last night i had difficulty waking up
when i finally woke up i looked at the clock and i thot it said 9.40 so i decided to juz go to sch anyway better to be late than not there at all
and so i pulled myself outta bed
and realised that it was 10.40 !
went back to bed.. anyway lessons were 3-quater way over
guess not fated to go back to sch this hols for extra lessons!

had sucky lunch
then had maths
considering i didnt prepare anything for tuition today
i had a fruitless session
where we did "revision"
in other words my tuition teacher was yapping away while i blanked out
actually i was thinking more about the fun i was going to haf later with the rest at jacs!

rushed to change bathe and all
had to climb the NEVEEERRRRR-ending hill to her house
and its no joke when u are walking alone
u don't actually realise how long and monotonous the walk is when u are talking and laffing with frens while walking up
anyway survived my walk up
juz sat in her room talking about whats happening in our respective schs
TJC: sounded as if they are having sports activities the entire time
MJC: sounded as if they really lack cute guys and our MJC correspondents are seriously not doing their job.. they dont no much about whats happening in their sch.
ACJC: sounded quite happening.. they're gonna have a dance performance soon! jac asked us to go..
and everyone out there.. dont let your children come near chris!
she made a confession that she was phidophile
and that it would be quite nice to touch children if she were a man..
not sure if that were her exact words..
but it was along that context
no matter what juz keep ur children away from chris!

we had a scrumptous dinner
we juz went on eating and eating and EATING..
once we cleared the pie jac's mom would come out with a new pie!
but it was yummy! esp the pastry!
then we had sweet mangoes and BLACK grapes
and soft JELLY paddle pops!
took fotos then jacs mom sent us all back

got a call all the way from malaysia when i got back home
cant belief u actually did it! :)
